A most idyllic scene, staged so kindly by the blue sky
We're out in fields of green, one sweet morning in July
We're lazing in the sun, skipping stones across the water
And nothing's to be done, no commitments, we know none
But some will call it a love-novel-fueled cliché
But yet I don't care what they say
And if they call it an immature throwaway
I really think they go astray
A cheeky little cloud dares to stroll across our blue sky
The flowers bloom so proud and a zephyr starts to sigh
It's paradise on earth, it's a romance in allegro
A yearning poet's birth and a gem for what it's worth
And when some call it a love-novel-fuelled cliché
I think that's not what they should say
And though they call it an immature throwaway
They won't ever make me go astray
